Financing a St. James' Episcopal School Education
As part of our mission as an Episcopal school, we have a long-standing commitment to make a St. James' education accessible to students from a range of economic backgrounds. St. James' offers a Tuition Assistance program, a payment plan, and loan information from various financial institutions.
We set funds aside each year to help "bridge the gap" for families who may not be able to cover the full cost of tuition. These funds are provided when financial need is established. Priority goes first to students currently receiving Tuition Assistance, then to returning students, and finally to newly admitted students.
Tuition at St. James' for the 2008-2009 academic year is $14,800. Tuition includes textbooks, field trips, testing fees, and before-school and after-school care. Additional fees such as the New Student Fee, Tuition Guarantee Plan, Bookkeeping Fee, and optional expenses such as uniforms and hot lunch may range from $1,550 to $2,700 annually.
St. James' Episcopal School provided Tuition Assistance to 15% of its students during the 2008-2009 academic year. Below is the distribution of our recipient families.
Total Family Income Percentage
Below $70,000 58%
$70,000 - $150,000 31%
Above $150,000 11%
Awards for the 2008-2009 academic year ranged from 5% to 90% of total cost of attendance (tuition plus fees).
