Our secondary school matriculation process is a partnership with families to find their child a middle school that best meets their learning profile. We begin work on middle school choice with families early in the student's 6th Grade tenure at St. James'.
We meet with 6th Grade families beginning in the summer to review the details and timelines of application submission and to discuss school choice. Each fall, we facilitate workshops for families in 6th Grade to provide them with the information they need to make an informed secondary school choice. We also invite admission officers from local schools to make presentations to our 6th Grade students and their families during lunches.
Our matriculation process focuses on helping families identify schools that best meet their student's learning needs. In short, we guide our families through each step to help them apply to schools where they will experience the most success.
