From Visual Art Teacher Josh Friedman.
We are beginning the school year with a fresh start in the Visual Art Studio by replacing all of our art smocks. Please have your young artist bring in a clean, used T-shirt – labeled with first and last name – to be worn in the studio. Students will be creating works in clay, paint, and other materials that are potentially messy, and we don't want to soil their school uniforms. I ask for your help to ensure that each student brings in a T-shirt smock by Friday, September 18.
In our continued effort to reduce, reuse, and recycle, we are stocking up our supply of newspaper and empty cereal boxes. These will be used as we create our Halloween masks. On Monday and Friday mornings, we will be collecting these items in the Visual Art Studio.
I appreciate your help and looking forward to another exciting year in the studio!
