Fall Book Fair Starts September 26

The Fall Book Fair is coming soon! Mrs. Nelson's Book Fair Company will again provide a stunning selection of quality hardcover and softcover books, including picture books, fiction, non-fiction, reference books, biographies, poetry, new titles, award-winning books, and holiday books – something for everyone!

The Fall Book Fair will be held in St. James' Hall, beginning on Saturday, September 26, and finishing at 1:30 p.m. on Friday, October 2. We are excited to announce that this year, the fair will be open from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, September 26, and Sunday, September 27. Parents who can't visit the fair during the week and 6th graders who will be away at Astrocamp during the week may find these extended hours convenient.

Classes will preview books on Monday, September 27. After school on Monday from 3:00–4:30 p.m., students in 3rd–6th grade (and younger students, if accompanied by an adult) may begin purchasing books. In addition to scheduled class times, the fair will be open before school on Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday from 8:00–8:30 a.m., during recess and lunch, and after school on Monday through Thursday until 4:30 p.m. The fair will close at the end of lunch recess on Friday at 1:30 p.m.

Please join us during your child's scheduled purchasing time or before or after school. If you are unable to accompany your child, please send a check made out to Mrs. Nelson's Book Fair Company with your child or set up a charge limit and provide your Visa, MasterCard, or Discover account number on the Student Charge Authorization Form. If you choose to send your K-2 child with cash, please put it in a sealed envelope labeled with the child's full name and have your child give it directly to the classroom teacher. The book fair volunteers cannot be responsible for lost money.

This year we will again feature a Wish List table. Teachers will have an opportunity to preview the book fair and make a list of the books they would like to have in their classroom library. Parents can purchase a book and present it to the teacher or the class.

Thank you for your support. The Library Media Center receives 20% of the sales from the Fall Book Fair, which go directly to fund author visits. With your help, we can continue to delight and challenge our students with exciting new books and events that will encourage them to become lifelong readers.
