Library Media Center Welcomes Author Stuart Gibbs on March 17

Stuart_Gibbs_Headshot.jpegThe St. James’ Library Media Center is excited to announce an upcoming visit – on Thursday, March 17 – from author Stuart Gibbs.

Mr. Gibbs is the author of the FunJungle and Moon Base Alpha series, as well as the New York Times–bestselling Spy School series. He has written the screenplays for movies like See Spot Run and Repli-Kate, worked on a whole bunch of animated films, and developed TV shows for Nickelodeon, Disney Channel, ABC, and Fox.

Some other interesting things Mr. Gibbs has done include working at a zoo; researching capybaras, the world’s largest rodents; climbing Mt. Kilimanjaro; facing down a charging elephant; ice-climbing a glacier in Patagonia; visiting the cockpit of the Space Shuttle Atlantis; and helping to rescue 16 children off the coast of Israel. Not all in one day, of course.

On March 17, Mr. Gibbs will join us on campus for a presentation and question-and-answer session with students in 3rd–6th grades. Parents are invited and encouraged to join us for this event in St. James’ Hall from 1:30–2:15 p.m.

For autographed copies of any of Mr. Gibbs’ books, complete the order form and return it, with payment, to your child’s classroom teacher by Wednesday, March 16.
