Dear Friends and Colleagues,
It is a bitter sweet moment for me to announce that I will leave St. James’ at the close of the 2015-2016 school year to become the Head of K–8 at the Bentley School in Oakland.
St. James’ is a very special place. I will treasure so many of the wonderful moments at Spring Event, karaoke, grilled lunches, African-American Heritage Month, Cinco de Mayo, Math-N-Munch, and Lunar New Year. My husband, who normally avoids school events, fell in love with Family Camp Weekend, a true testament to the affection and love we have for St. James’. However, my husband and I love each other, and the wear and tear of the commuting between L.A. and Oakland has taken its toll. This opportunity in Oakland will permit us to live under the same roof. Imagine that!
Friends, I also want to assure you that I have genuinely enjoyed my time at St. James’. It is a truly amazing school. So, I hope you will keep in touch, and we will all enjoy the many exciting events that remain in this academic year. Thank you to everyone for making my time at St. James’ as memorable and rewarding as possible. I will miss you.

Associate Head of School
