Re-enrollment Process for 2016–2017
Dear St. James' Parents:
It is hard to believe that we are already at this point of the school year, but this is the time when the Admission Office prepares the re-enrollment contracts for the next school year. As a current St. James' family, every year you receive a re-enrollment contract to hold your child's place for the following year. We wanted to give you advance notice that the re-enrollment contracts for the 2016–2017 academic year will be sent on Friday, January 29, 2016.
As last year, we will be employing an online re-enrollment system, rather than mailing paper contracts. This system will be easier for you than the old paper contracts, as you will be able to submit your contract(s) with the click of a button. Here's how it will work:
On Friday, January 29, you will receive an email from St. James' containing instructions on how to access your contract via PORTAL+. Unlike last year, your existing username and password will grant you access to the contract forms.
You will next be taken to your Parent Covenant – a set of community expectations that you agree to follow each year. Please read and electronically sign this document.
After signing your Parent Covenant, you will be taken to your contract. You will be able to review the fine print, tuition, and fees; sign up for a payment plan; and submit your deposit with an electronic check.
Completed contracts are due Tuesday, February 16. Contracts returned after February 16 will be charged a late fee of $300. We appreciate everyone's efforts to adhere to this schedule; unfortunately, there are no exceptions.

State of the School Address on Thursday, January 21
Please join Head of School Deborah David and the senior administration in celebration of the accomplishments and triumphs of 2015 and for news about the year to come. All parents are invited to attend the event, which will take place at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday, January 21, in St. James' Hall.
Acolytes needed for St. James' Episcopal Church on Sundays
Any 4th-, 5th-, or 6th-graders who are not members of the St. James' Children's Choir and are interested in serving as acolytes during 10:30 a.m. services on Sundays should contact the Rev. Aidan Koh (firstname.lastname@example.org). Acolytes serve from 10:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. New acolytes need one hour of training prior to their first service.
Reminder about report cards on PORTAL+
Last month, we launched our first-ever electronic report cards, for which we've received much positive feedback. In case you missed our previous notices about the report cards, please be sure to visit PORTAL+ and log in with your email address and password. Then, click the E-Locker link in the green bar at the top of the page. If you're having trouble, try the "Can't access your account?" link or email email@example.com.
