No After-School Care on June 10
Please make note that after-school care is canceled on Friday, June 10. The annual Faculty Appreciation Reception hosted by 6th-grade families will take place that afternoon, so be sure to make arrangements for all students to be picked up by 3:30 p.m. Late pickup fees will apply after 3:30 p.m.
The Recognition Ceremony will take place that day from 1:30–2:30 p.m.

Hollywood–Wilshire League Volleyball vs. Pilgrim School
It was another bright sunny afternoon on the St. James’ playing field on Tuesday, May 10. The St. James’ volleyball players were out early, warming up for their first home game against Pilgrim School. Coming off their exciting game with the Center for Early Education, the Huskies (Ryan, Santi, Haley, Connor, LeShaun, Lauren, Emerson, and Elia) were excited to play with a full team!
St. James’ lost the first of three games by a score of 19–25. But they rallied, keeping their spirits up to win the second game 25–18; the Huskies really pulled together as a team in the tiebreaker, communicating and returning several volleys and winning the final game 25–16 and taking the match 2–1!

Set Up Your FACTS Account for Next Year
Please be reminded that the deadline to create a FACTS account for 2016–17 tuition payments was Monday, April 11. If you have not done so already, please create an account today! Instructions are available at this link. If you are a returning family that has a new child entering the school, please do not create a new account. Free ISEE Diagnostic Exam
Team Tutors of Beverly Hills has offered St. James’ parents free, full-length, proctored diagnostic exams on the following dates at 9:00 a.m.: April 16, May 14, May 21, June 4, June 11, June 18, August 6, August 13, and August 20. Please note that only the diagnostic exam is free; additional tutoring services may be purchased directly (firstname.lastname@example.org or 323-356-6160 ext. 3).
