Students have been getting dropped off later and later each morning. The school day begins promptly at 8:15 a.m., so any student arriving after 8:15 a.m. will receive a tardy slip. Please leave early enough each morning to allow for traffic. We wish every child the opportunity to start the day feeling successful. You may drop off your child beginning at 7:30 a.m.

  • Childcare is only open to current St. James’ K-6 students;

  • Childcare ends at 3:30 p.m.; there will be no aftercare;

St. James' Episcopal School
All-School Chapel Service
Liturgy of Ash Wednesday

On Wednesday, March 6, 2019
St. James’ will have the All-School Chapel Service.
It will be a special service including part of the liturgies of
Ash Wednesday.
The children, parents, and faculty will be invited to participate in the
liturgy of imposition of ashes during the service.
This will remind us of our mortality and encourage us
to love one another during our life time.
Mother Kate will preach and all clergy and Mr. Reinke will impose ashes on our foreheads.

We are instructing the children in our religious classes and at the service that
they can freely choose the optional liturgy of imposition of ashes.
If you do not feel your child needs to participate in the liturgy,
you may also instruct her/him to remain seated at her/his pew during the time of the liturgy.

Parents are always welcome to attend the chapel services
which help to develop your children’s spiritual lives.
We have encouraged the parents to attend chapel services
during the school year, especially the
All School Chapel Service.
Please consider joining your children at this service.

You are also encouraged to sit with your children in the church.
Please park your car across the street from the school
and wait for your children in the parking lot between
the church and the school.

At this service we will be taking an offering
of non-perishable goods
which will be donated to St. James' Church Food Pantry to help need neighbors.
Please bring your donations to school.

Suggested items include:
Canned goods - fruit, vegetables, fish and meat
 Rice, Cereals, Peanut butter, Dried beans, Macaroni
