- Open Community Meeting

Open Community Meeting - 9/25 will take place Monday, September 25th from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM at St. James' Episcopal Church (Parish Hall), 3903 Wilshire Blvd, LA, CA 90005. Don't miss this exclusive chance to ask candidate Dr. Noni Thomas Lopez any questions you may have!

- The Tempest

In three months the altar of St. James' Church will transform into the desert island home to the sorcerer Prospero. There we will see Prospero conjure an enormous storm and shipwreck those who have wronged him in an attempt to regain his rightful throne!  Will Prospero prevail or be thwarted by the crafty Caliban? You have a chance to do more than watch the proceedings unfold, you can be a part of the adventure - join Director John Staley as St. James' Performing Arts sets sail with a production of The Tempest, for as The Bard says:

"I would not wish any companion in the world but you."

Auditions take place next week in Parish Hall, September 26 and 27 from 3:00-5:00pm, click here to sign up.

Please be prepared to attend both days of auditions as acting and dancing may be on separate days. No monologue prep/songs required, just be prepared to bring your energy and enthusiasm! Online enrollment is required to audition.

  • Rehearsals begin 10/3 and will continue every Tuesday and Wednesday from 3:30-5:30pm.

  • All grades are welcome to participate.

  • Students can only miss up to 3 rehearsals during the process, your presence is crucial to our preparation!

  • Contact John Staley with any questions/concerns (johnstaley_67@yahoo.com).
